Autumn can't get here soon enough ...

Image (c) 2006, Karla Dorman.

Poem Artwork

Stuck in a pattern
of humidity and heat,
broken only by

occasional storms
to relieve the monotony --
Springtime in the Plains.

And then, summer comes,
with  its unchanging patterns
of unending heat

with no storms on the
horizon to break cycle
of monontony.

That's why I like Fall.

Move to California or build yourself a bunker, either way, if a twister don't get you an hearthquake will, then again...I wish for you to be safe, loving storms is like loving a pack of hungry wolves.
Cheer up!!!!!

We've had a few storms, but nothing severe...I always dread the spring storms, but enjoy the summer and fall, winter I dread...travel is treacherous here in the winter! Enjoyed this well written write my friend!

Yup can understand that...BTW if I can get hold of two old Abilene friends I'll be over, but no luck yet. Julie and Renata, even Lisa, used to work at the Embassy suites in 87 by the mall, now known as MCM Elegante Suites.... seya somewhen...

Spring is attempting it's appearance here, and summer will following. After this winter I have to say, Bring it on! :-)

However; I do understand your love for fall, it is a beautiful season!

Your poem "Stuck" touches on the situation here. We are in a drought that leaves the grass like parched straw and no rain is in sight.

You've written an expressive write about the weather.

Every season has its downside. There's something good in all of them.

Karla~

I hear ya; I don't like spring (too stormy here...and no freakin' basements! NUTZ!), and summer here (too freekin' hot!! YUCKO!); bring on the fall and winter! Very well written, and the pic captures the essence of this poem perfectly! BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin sis, Karen Lynn. :D

Another gem. Autumn is my favorite season, but we are not as extreme here of course.
