This must be GREAT to look forward too, Our WATER fires stopped by beginning of Nov. and I would love to see them again!

I have not seen December Fireworks, that must be so amazing. We have Winter Wonderland Light extravaganza! They decorate a park in our capital city and its a drive through experience. You tune your radio to a station and listen to Christmas music while you see each light exhibit. It is quite lovely and beautiful.

As much as I love the Fourth of July fireworks displays, I still say Christmas fireworks are much better. I may gripe a lot about Texas, but I sure do love their fireworks displays! You've captured the excitement of the fireworks display perfectly in this boomin' good write! BRAVA, very well penned, Karla!

i didn't know that fireworks were done at Christmas in Texas-cool tradition-the best i have ever seen were during derby days in Kentucky

That's a great image Karla! You know, I've seen many fireworks because we rodeo a lot and especially the 4th of July week is crazy. But it seems that EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas, even the fireworks which I greatly enjoy! You penned this very nicely!
