Our local weather prognosticator saw his shadow, matching the forecast of the official groundhog, Punxatawney Phil. Six more weeks of winter. Of course, in Texas, if the groundhog sees his shadow, we'll have six more DAYS of winter. LOL

All snug in bed, sound asleep
until the big hand reaches
in, hoists him into the air,
into the glaring spotlights -

does he see his shadow??  Tell
us, O wise and wonderful
groundhog, prognosticate the
weather - will we have six more

weeks of winter or will Spring
come early?  With all the lights,
the poor thing can't see past his
his own nose or need for sleep;

all he knows is that someone
had better put him back where
he was or they'll be drawing
back a nub 'stead of a hand .....
