i'm so dizzy, my head is spinnin',
ridin' that ride was the beginnin'...

"c'mon!" "don't be chicken!" my twin said,
i wish i'd stayed on the ground instead...

so here we are, in line for this ride,
don't wanna look scared, the fear i hide...

we get on pull the lap bar down tight,
don't wanna get off the ride mid-flight...

and here we go...starts off at a crawl,
"this ain't so bad"...then it * really * hauls...

this ride goes up, down and all around,
and i think we're gonna hit the grooouuunnnddd...

i'm hopin' the danged lap bar stays closed,
"think happy thoughts," c'mon, stay composed...

that was fine, 'til my twin passed out cold,
"aww, shit!" i screamed, "stop, dammit, whoa!!!!"...

this thing has too many twists and turns,
my stomach's matching them, churn for churn...

ohmigod, think i'm gonna be sick,
"someone get us * OFF * and make it quick!!!!"...

and there she is, she's out like a light,
i'm screamin', tryin' to hold her tight...

the ride's been goin' fast, now it stops,
everthin's still movin...vision rocks...

the first aid cart comes, takes her away,
not 'til i pass out, join in the fray...

last i remember 'til things went black,
woke up, i was layin' on my back...

"what happened to you?" a nurse asked me,
in the first aid station now, you see...

"didn't expect that ride to go so fast,
i honestly thought i'd breathed my last...

that's a mistake i won't make again,
you have my word on that," i exclaimed...

this * really * happened to my twin sis and
me. we'd gone to the ohio state fair, and
there was a ride there called the "twister."

it looked fun, so we decided to ride. we
did a no-no...see, the ride operator was
the one who controlled the spinning action
of the ride. he wouldn't spin our section,
so we got mad at him and started cussin'
him out.

BIG mistake. cuss out a ride operator, and
you're gonna get thrown out of the park (fair),
or you're gonna get the ride of your life.

needless to say, karen and i got the ride
of our lives.

never again. since that day, i don't do spinny
rides very well anymore...uurrrpppp. :)
