oh, i'm hopin' they don't show it...
but you can just bet that they will,
not just once...over and over...
embarrassment a bitter pill!

there i was just doing my job...
i'm the local news anchorman,
reportin' on a 'feel good' piece...
talkin' with a dallas zoo man.

everythin' was goin' just fine...
until he brought out that darn snake,
i really am not that fond of them...
that's when i shoulda made my break!

okay, i got my courage up...
i even touched its scaly skin,
"i'm bad, i'm bad!" thought to myself...
and that's when things took a tailspin!

see, we were behind a table...
with some other critters on it,
a leapin' lizard jumped on me...
that's when i about took a sh--!!!!

start runnin' like a crazy fool...
thought the lizard would do me harm,
i didn't know what kind it was...
i just * knew * i had bought the farm!

zoo guy, all he could do was laugh...
and i'm screamin' like a banshee,
i've * never * been so embarrassed...
can't beLIEVE that happened to me!!

all day long, they're playin' it live...
don't think i can watch it again,
cause the damn thing happened to * me * ...
they're gonna replay it at ten!!
