... turkeys picked clean, clear through to
bone; surprised we didn't eat the gobble.
Mashed and sweet potatoes, green bean
casserole, cranberry sauce pfft long gone.
The stuffing wolfed down as fast as it was
served; what giblet gravy? The rolls: who
saw them come out? All I know, passed me by. Think they went the way of the
ham: oinked. And the desserts: pumpkin
and pecan pie, cakes of every description:
ought to be a law: on Thanksgiving Day or
on holidays, calories should not count at all.

We had a wonderful and thankful day, frienda and family galore. Funny though, yesterday evening, driving home, turkeys were strutting around everywhere. I'm guessing they felt a little safer, but I'm sure they will go back into hiding just before Christmas.
You shouldn't eat in the company of any of my brothers, they do it like is not tomorrow and they want to go happy!

Have to agree with you on that one but I think most of us manage to find our blind eye when it comes to holiday meals. Well done Karla now I need to go eat...you made me hungry.
