Livin' the Dream! LOL

Image (c) 2007, Karla Dorman

Poem Artwork

... When distant thunder revelles the
clouds to assemble in formation;
when lightning marches them by in
review; when rain and hail gather
forces with wind, there I am, camera
in hand, embedded with the troops.

When meteorologists call for a threat
of storms; when radars ramp up to
alert level red; when the reporter in
me leaps at the chance to record
events as they happen, there I am,
camera in hand, ready to catch it all.

No car (have cane, will travel).  No
paying for gas; no afternoon stops at
greasy spoons or overnights at roach
motels; always a chance for a bust in
the forecast:  no matter.  There I'll be,
camera in hand.  Call me Porch Chaser.

Porch CHASERRR!! LOL at Ed M. (below): No, she doesn't have a rockin' chair. She stands at the door of her front porch, sometimes holding onto the door, to keep from being buffeted around or blown away! LOL You should see it: I'm yellin' at her to "GET IN HERE!", and she's saying, "Just one more picture!" It's NUTZ!! Living with a chaser is a trial indeed. Yes. LOL Very well penned and illustrated, StormSpinner; brava!

You live up to your name here!~

(((HUGS))) and much love, your twin the StormFraider, Karen Lynn. :P
