Phil saw his shadow--I watched on our local cable network--and from this perspective, (Central PA,) I think he's correct. The woodchuck at the Bronx Zoo bit Mayor Bloomberg, who ignorantly tried to yank him out of his house, and drew blood. Someone ought to have told him that the "Whistle Pig" is no automatic respecter of the Powerful. ;)
Hmnnn thought about doing a little groundhog hunting this morning, wondered if I shot him before he got a chance to get out would it be the end of winter for good...just kidding. LOL good write Karla

1 pm BBC World News- first 20 minutes of 4 inches of snow in London. As if the world stopped still and there was no news. That would of course be wonderful. Guess its a day to hgide bad news too. But here in Scotland no snow today but when I have to dig out from the front door some 4 ft of snow...its business as usual.
Just another month or so winter will be over. Hope this will pass very soon.
Toronto has been extra cold and windy this year. Snowstorms are almost continuously one after another, while my brother in Australia is experiencing extreme heat waves of plus 40 clecius temperature.
I'll put my money on good old Woody - he hasn't been corrupted like poor old Phil has by numerous handlers, agents, P.R. firms, and, of course - the media!! (And he should bite 'em!)
