Poem Artwork

... wonder
what it would be like
to skate across
the clouds,

zipping
from one corner of
the sky to the
next at

breakneck
speeds. to run with the
wind in my hair.
to know

what it
is to be free, with
no worries.  i
wonder ...

i look
up at a flash of
lightning and dream.
and dance ....

I wonder too. But we can sort of find out by writing it up, right? I like to read reviews of others' works. Isn't Peter a hoot? Dance on, K!

I enjoyed the meandering thought process in this one Karla. It is often hard not to look at clouds without wanting to race through them or even just lay down and wrap ourselves in their softness.

Well I have some suggestions; but they all involve dangerous narcotics; so, we won't go there this day. Maybe ride a bike to the top of a hill and coast down with no hands with your head back looking up at the sky?? That might just scratch the surface. Nicely penned Karla. I hope you're feeling better. Laurel and Hardy?? You must try this. I promise you lots of laughs.

This could make such a pleasant dream.
When I'm awake I have to deal with a terrible "fear of falling issue."
What a dream to jump into a beautiful cloud that really could catch us.
