Don't you just love seasons in transition? LOL!

Poem Artwork

Thought it Spring:
so God sent down
an arctic blast to
shiver the bones -----

Grabbed my coat.
Not so fast, said He,
heating the sun to
the boiling point -----

And of course, forgot
the umbrella.  Don't
you know that's when
it came up a flood -----

Dripped my way home
where it is warm and
dry.  So he sent down
a lightning bolt -----

Poof!  No power.  Sooo
glad He's having a good
laugh at my expense -----
afraid to ask, 'What next?'

Spot on!!! Poem's great; weather not-so-much. So sorry your power went out. Ray and I spend a lot of time holding our breath. Finally forked for a generator, but we're hoping not to have to use it. Can't believe we had 5-6 inches of snow and the power held. Living out from town the way we do, there are more outages.
Hope you have plenty of candles. A lantern? Non-electric heater?
Power's back on now? Hope so!!

Hot chocolate and cozy slippers,

Wonder if Noah ever got an umbrella, after all, can you beat 40 days and 40 nights of it without one and galoshes?

Don't ask. The Texas rain is something else. Each rain drop contains a bucket full of water. As for the thunder, I thought it was hollywood make believe that thunder and lightning happen simultaneously.
Sounds like it's time for another cruise of fun fun fun in the sun sun sun.

i very much suffer from SAD... SAD is how i am when there's not a glimpse of sun in the sky - whatever the time of year. And SAD is how i've been down here in Dorset, mostly, over this super-wet-cold-and-windy winter. But this melange of weather can only mean one thing to me... SPRING is nearly here! :)) We live in hope and can maybe even get even with The Big Weather Man In The Sky by turning out in our latest thermal bikini and solar-panelled raincoat! Your poetry always keeps us guessing, Karla! So what's next?! xx

Karla, I know the weather there is serious, but I couldn't help laughing at your cute poem. "Poof! No power." Haven't we all experienced that. I can live with it in the daytime, but at night I can never find enough candles. I like your "Seasonal Affective Disorder."
