karen and i love miss loretta lynn,
and we're seeing her in concert tonight,
billy bob's is where she's having her show,
sixth time we've seen her...each time, a delight!

karen's a true fan of loretta lynn,
karen's loved her for years...she really has,
i used to hate that country type of sound,
each time i heard it, i'd give her a raaazzzz!

karen kept playing her loretta lynn,
and soon, i was singin' along with her,
she's not so bad...i liked all of her songs,
think my fav'rite is "coal miner's daughter"!

karen and i first saw loretta lynn,
in concert at our local county fair,
that lady could sing...what a voice she had,
could sing the spots off a cheetah...i swear!!

karen and i amused loretta lynn,
you see, we were dressed exactly the same,
"oh, my God, TWINS!!" is what loretta said,
"i've got twins--peggy and patsy's their names!"

karen and i've seen miss loretta lynn,
five more times in concert since that first time,
woulda been seven...but once, she got sick,
wasn't her fault...bound to happen sometime!

karen and i've met miss loretta lynn,
a nicer person you couldn't ask for,
she don't put on airs, a pure country girl,
she knows what it was like, growin' up poor!

the twins can't wait to see loretta lynn,
we're fixin' to go in just a few hours,
autograph book (check), no camera though,
but reserved tickets for the show are ours!!!! :)
