i ain't seen one a' those in years
we don't see much of that down here
when was the last...'round ninety three
that thanksgivin' made history
'bout all we get 'round here is ice
i'm a tellin' you...THAT ain't nice
it don't take much ta make a mess
any that falls impedes progress
texans ain't use ta seein' it
they cain't drive on it worth a spit
cars spinnin' off the road 'round town
schools and bidnesses all shut down
up north, it took a LOT of snow
ta shut school down...figures, ya know
they were used ta it way up north
prepared when winter ventured forth
we might have some white stuff down here
next week's weather could be severe
at least, that's what they're sayin' now
it'll change--boy, howdy, and how!
cain't trust the weather 'round these parts
y'all cain't rely on weather charts

where tree tops glisten
and children listen
to hear...sleighbells in the snow

Good write about the white stuff! I love the snow...until it finds me stuck in a ditch somewhere. Always keep a shovel & some cat-litter in the car! :0)

What about Caslifornia drivers in the snow, especially if you are from Central California, where snow is about as likely to happen as winning the lottery without buying a ticket lol, yet we are having the coldest winter I can remember here in Cali, lots of rain and even snow, up here anyway, hasn't hit the valley yet, God Bless and Keep right!
