i knew i shouldn't have lifted that,
didn't listen, now i'm laid out flat,
i should have left well enough alone,
the result is, i'm lyin' here, prone,
see, i was helpin' out with the truck,
where's all my help? figures...just my luck,
liftin' boxes, big ones, little ones,
(this really ain't my idea of fun),
doin' okay, mucho fuerte, sweet,
liftin' eighty pound boxes of meat,
i should know better...just watch me work,
i'm gonna show 'em that i can jerk,
and that's when it happened (stupid bleach),
reached the limit that my back could reach,
lifted that bleach, and my back went *toing*,
some muscle fibers inside it SPROINGED,
karen's laughin' at the way i walk,
shuffle shuffle ("ow, pain lines," i squalk),
gettin' up and down is really fun,
(i wouldn't wish this on anyone!!!),
you shoulda seen me, tryin' to sleep,
pain in my back made me wanna weep,
so--there i am, laid flat on my back,
i learned a lesson: when backs attack!!!!
OW--pain lines! i'm feelin' it now,
boy, am i ever...dummy!...and how,
back's all wound up, it's all stiff and sore,
ain't gonna lift NOTHIN' up no more!!
(that's what you said the *last* time...DUMMY!!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
you would think that i'd learn, when backs attack
not to do the thing that caused it to crack (OW!!)
nooooo...i didn't listen, it's back pain time!
you lucky people get to hear me whine!! :)
(((HUGS))) (ow) and love,
karla. :)

Hope you don't mind but I am sending this poem to my mum who thinks she is super woman and constantly tries lifting massive weights she is five foot and about 7 stone weight and is always suffering bad back because she tries to move furniture by herself with three big strong sons around she has no need to, but will she wait for them? no.
Thanks for this ,now I have a poem for her to stick on her fridge.

((((((((((Poor Karla))))))))
When backs attack
Tequila, I pour.
One, two, three...
Hell, sometimes four.
It won't help my back
When it gets out of whack
But I seem not to care anymore...
Kisses....-James
