it's hot here. it is hot ev-er-y-where,
what i would give for some refreshin' air!
i'm gettin' tired of all of this heat,
i've said some words i'd rather not repeat,
WHEN will it cool off? more than i can take!
i've had more than enough, please, Lord, a break!!
i ain't gettin' out in it...ain't no fool,
i'll stay inside, if it just keeps me cool!

here's some jokes to get you through the heat--enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------
you know it's hot when...

...you no longer associate bridges or rivers with water

...you can say 110 degrees without fainting

...you eat hot chilis to cool your mouth off

...you find it's too hot to swim in the pool

...you learn a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron *ouch!*

...you feel cold when the temperature dips below 90 *must be arizona or texas*

...you discover it only takes two fingers to drive your car

...you discover you can get sunburned through tinted car windows

...you notice the best parking spot is determined by shade instead of distance *definately true *

...your cold water tap now dispenses hot water

...you actually burn your hand opening up the car door

...you take a shower and break out in a sweat--at 7:30 in the morning *truth!*

...you actually pray for severe weather, just for the rain *been there, done that LOL*

...you realize that asphalt has a liquid state

...your biggest bicycle wreck fear is "what if i get knocked out and wind up laying on the pavement and cooking to death?"

...you take a scalding hot shower to cool yourself down

...you've been getting hot flashes--and you're a man

...you spontaneously burst into flame while walking down the sidewalk

...you wish you'd gotten cloth seats instead of leather

...you sweat in both directions--up and down

...you find strawberries are ripe, and cab drivers even riper

...you're still inside reading these jokes

all i can say is...

...THANK YOU, GOD, FOR AIR CONDITIONING!!!!

and...HURRY UP, FALL!!!!!! :)

I've been to Phoenix in August. Could have used some of your little old Texas heat wave then. LOL

We had a real heat wave here today - I think it got up to 73 ;)

You sure you don't want to come visit. The leaves are already starting to turn yellow. Soon.. oh no - that 4 letter word that begins with s and ends with w.. and has No in between ;)

LOL come winter you'll be paying me back I am sure.

Love;
Melanie

This is a "hot" poem. W-h-e-w! And I thought Toronto was bad, but we get the humidity too, that's what makes it worse.

You are too funny! Try a mid west humid as hello summer :) Feels like you are walking out of the shower. You can see actual mist in the air as a norm in the heat. I enjoyed and understood this! :)

Thanks,
Emilie
