Yes, There Are Times When Ole Santa Claus Cries ( Revised, Repost)

Does Santa Claus ever cry? You bet he
does...

Yes, there are times when Santa Claus feels bad,
There are times when Santa feels mighty sad,
He can't help it when tears come to his eyes,
Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries.

Little Bobby asked me to find his Mom,
She'd left the family, hasn't been seen,
"Daddy's dead," little Javon said to me,
"He died in a car wreck, died at the scene."

"I don't want nothin'," little Sally said,
"But Daddy's dying--can you ease his pain?"
Pam wants me to stop her parents' divorce,
And she wonders if she's the one to blame.

Yes, there are times when Santa Claus feels bad,
There are times when Santa feels mighty sad,
He can't help it when tears come to his eyes,
Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries.

Chubby Mikey wants the teasing to stop,
"Can you help me, please help me, Santa Claus,"
Tiny Jose wants the abuse to end,
"Can you find me a new Papi, just 'cause?"

"I don't believe you--you must be a fake!"
Little Sammy's words cut me to the core,
"I thought you could do anything," Brad said,
You didn't bring me what I asked you for!"

Yes, there are times when Santa Claus feels bad,
There are times when Santa feels mighty sad,
He can't help it when tears come to his eyes,
Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries.

Paolo's Mami is on drugs again,
He hasn't seen or heard from her in days,
And all Steven wants is a normal life,
But little Stevie is dying of AIDS.

Mar says, in a voice older than her years,
"My family's sick of livin' on the streets,"
Brian says, "I need a favor from you,"
For his kids, he wants a home, food to eat.

Yes, there are times when Santa Claus feels bad,
There are times when Santa feels mighty sad,
He can't help it when tears come to his eyes,
Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries.

Santa wishes he could grant every child's wish,
But I can't...and it causes me great anguish,
I'll do what he can, that I will promises you,
But there's only so much that Santa Claus can do.

Yes, there are times when Santa Claus feels bad,
There are times when Santa feels mighty sad,
He can't help it when tears come to his eyes,
Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries,

Yes, there are times when ole Santa Claus cries.

Yes, Karla, this is one that makes me cry, just thinking of all the kids and families that have less than I...I may not be rich, no house to live in, but this motor home...so I am not poor and I wish, I TRULY WISH I could do something for every little kid out there that has no hope of a better life...Peace, and a good write, Karla, Ed & Rufuz

Very touching and full of truths. Sometimes we just can't help even when we want to.

(((Karla)))

This poem moved me to tears; what a powerful, heartwrenching write! So sad that not even someone like Santa Claus can bring hope to people in situations that seem impossible. For that, we need to turn to The One who has ALL the answers! (((HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :( >tears, tears, tears <
