If you love fireworks, you have to try it from a boat on the ocean in my hometown, they shoot them out over the ocean from the beach, it is so cool to sit out on your boat, smoking a doobie and watching them from there...although Rufuz doesn't like the noise and seems scared of them...Quite enjoyed this...wish it were july now...Peace from Soggy NJ, Ed & rufuz

I could feel and see the fireworks with this write. Not sure if the US does this, but in Canada, in many of our cities we have "First Nights" on New Years Eve that always ends in fireworks. Its a wonder to see the lights shining against the white snow.......that is if winter hasn't been kipnapped! :-)
I loved this the first time you posted it, and I love it even more now! Wow, what a stirring, soul-shaking poem; could feel the excitement of the fireworks bursting in all their technicolor glory above us! Could hear the sound of the thunder too; wow, but do I love that sound, as daddy would say! Terrific write, Karla; hope this wins! It should; it's GREAT!
