Heartfelt write of longing and wishing, Karla; but you are NOT alone. You have ME; what more could you possibly want? I am glad we were able to spend Valentine's Day together; and I am especially glad we had a gift from Mother Nature. That snow was wonderful; too bad it didn't last! But boy, I sure got you good with that snowball, didn't I?? LOL

Great poem of yearning, Karla! Well done! There are a few million women who have never met Mr. Wonderful either, hehehe! Also a few million who wish they never had! Hehehe! But, dear poet, you are known and loved by family and friends here on the Den and elsewhere. Valentines Day is'nt just for lovers...but a day for loving expressions to those we care most about. Look around you dear and see all the eyes of love that are upon you today and everyday. Karla, I'm sorry you feel the pain expressed here. And boy did you do a wonderful job of expressing it. The only Valentine's gift I remember is a box of Sucret throat lozenges, which should tell you that this is one holiday that I've never been attractive. It's the little gifts on non-traditional days that mean the most to me. So pick another day and forget this one ;-) (p.s. Happy Valentine's Day from me, if that counts)

I'll be alone too this Valentines.....and many others. Here's a way to enjoy it.......Light a candle and serve yourself your favorite meal. Thank the Lord you don't have a man complaining about how much the cocolates and flowers costs these days, Turn on your favorite music, scent the air with something that pleases you, and tell yourself how lucky you are to have your company on a day for love. Then kiss the day goodbye, knowing next year will be better :-)
