Exterminator!!!!!!!!!! :-)

beware the black widow spider.
she means to have you for lunch.
get out while the getting is good.
or you'll be next on her brunch!

beware the awful brown recluse.
one bite can make your skin rot.
get out while the getting is good.
been bit three times--kid you not!

beware the little fire ants.
them critters is flat out mean.
they will chew on you, just for fun.
they'll bite you right through your jeans!

and beware those red texas wasps.
they'll sting the scream out of you.
they're efficient, built for pain.
get stung and you'll holler, too!

beware those yellow jacket bees.
they'll get you in nothing flat.
they're as mean as the red wasp.
leave 'em alone.  that is that!

now we have those killer bees.
they are the meanest of all.
i didn't send them to you.
PLEASE don't answer if they call!

Aaaah...the downsides of living in a warm climate. Luckily, I don't have to worry about any such critters. Hell, we only have one poisonous (or dangerous) animal on this little island and even that cannot kill you !! LOL

I don't worry near as much about those crawly pests as I do the two legged kind!

I think Texas is a twin sister of Somalia in terms of insects. All those you mentioned in the poem are available here and, most strangely, they behave the same way. Excellent poem

I remember the fire ants in florida, why doesnt somebody tell us northern snow birds that they exist, before i stepped in their nest and came runnign back to the campground in a tissie (SP?). My neighbor took a hose to me, man I still got some scars on my leg from that. But thats it I do not move south, no big ass spiders, no killer bees, they have to die in the cold...oh and tell Kate if she itches, she probably needs to bathe every now and then, LOL! Fun write, scary write, I would not leave the house if i lived there...Peace thru No Critters, Ed & Rufuz

The first time I set foot in Texas, a number of years ago,
I was greeted on the motel doorstep by a Black Widow...boy!
That gave me a clue...and I love the way you 'extended' the
insect horrors of the big country.
