The breeze carried the scent of a she wolf in heat.
From the East she came, crossed his muzzle and
with a deep inhaled breath, he sniffed. That scent
was intoxicating to him, and to the ground he
now went, sniffing for her scent trailing off to the
East.
Through the forest he did travel, hours upon hours
until he found her. It was by a stream, sipping the
cool waters that flowed through the winding tiny
river. That pink tongue lapped up the liquid in a
most gentle fashion, and he found that so very,
very inticing.
She held her tail high, as she drank. Her eyes spotted
him while he was still futher back. All she did was stand
there, by the creek, lapping up the cool drink with eyes
on this stray wolf who wandered her way. But she knew
why he was here, for it was that time, and her body
quivered beneath his wild gaze.
