Above the clouds
Eagle soars,
Knowing from what was
In ages past.
Knowing now what is,
he asks,
How much longer will it last?
His view clouded by a tear;
While down below
Breezes meander,
Whispering secrets
That the tree knows
The owl knows,
The deer knows,
The bear knows,
While the river roars
To its own beat,
And they plead;
On this day,
Give honor to this place,
For this gift received,
to never be disgraced,
on this day, and forever more.
