Come to the meadow, feel the breeze, bask in nature's glory!
WILDFLOWER
Lazily dancing
amidst tall grasses
under pale azure skies
waves a bit of color.
Just a hint,
a tease,
to delight the senses
if you please ...
lazily waving,
giving you hints
inviting you nearer
to bask in her glow.
Don't look away
just let her play with your eyes
listen for the rustle
in your ears
taking away your fears of the wildness
that she is ...
Under pale azure skies
shall you find her today
but tomorrow ... she will fade,
bow out of this life
become one with the grass ...
My very first inspiration to relate to others through the written word, was a rose garden, a spring day. And the love of my life, Ursula. I share your passion for nature and anything to do with flowers. Lotus blossoms, poppies, roses and wildflowers have all drawn me to scribe a poem. Your "Wildflower" relaxes me and sends me to a place to view them. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work. May you never be without paper and ink.
