Our Wild, Windy Night

Your leaves are fallen

and you are bare

shaking in this wild, windy air

I hold you close to warm you

before the freeze can come

and the snow will fall

We’ll make a blanket there

to shield us from the cold, winter

We lie together naked, bare

and shiver in the wild, windy air

Your branches are reaching

to hold me tight

I held you close to feel your need

and look at the falling snow

The flakes float down upon us

The tears run off our faces

like a dream we disappear

melting into the midnight

We lie on the frozen ground

and the falling snow is symmetrical

Like the naked air we breathe

it comes out hot & steamy

The wild, windy love

blows us into the sky

We drift like snow clouds

We feel each other go by

in this frozen dream

Our bodies are as one

We lie under our snowy blanket

love warms us there
