April is a pretty child
but doesn’t bloom like May
her ugly step brother
March
is cold hearted
he brings in the lamb
only to be devoured
by the wintry lion
you see he was born wild
April is the true spring
Her eyes are beauty green
Her buds are cherry fine
and she smiles for warmth
her eyes tear up with love
for sister May’s
lovely flowery face
yet she isn’t jealous
because she knows
her beauty is her grace

Good. You might want to play with the line arrangement a little more, to give it more impact. ~E

I enjoyed your poem. Also, I like your quotation in your biography.
