The Moon, The Prince and The Deep Blue
In the moonlight, a tide was born, it ebbed and flowed
like love in a ladies heart, it flowed away from me
into the deep blue sea there are many fish
so the sea beckons me to find that lost treasure
I walked the sandy beaches, my footprints left a trace
of those lost shadows of yesterday that I chase
I find no peace, no solitude from this love
Yet the sea beckons me to believe
It shall carry me away, as I watch the waves
The clouds drift by hiding the moon from me
Still it moves the water which I float upon in dreams
I taste the salt in my mouth and feel the breeze in my face
Once she thought him beautiful, her prince
in her fanciful way she saw him standing before her
like a fairy tale, she thought him handsome once
in tales of armor He was handsome and brave
and he shined in her dreams He will save me she thought
it was her castle, her sanctuary, where he prevailed
He got on his knees on the floor begging her for more
I’m begging darlin please, please believe in me
Love me like you used to, pretend I’m your young man
Can’t you see I need your love, I need it bad
Can’t you see I want your body, I can taste it
There ‘s plenty of jelly fish love, but I’m your shark
and I will bite but never draw blood, so give me a bite
from the one I love and the deep blue sea
I can be your prince in shining armor to be kissed
and taken as a paramour for your loving waves
So goes the tale of the moon, the prince and the deep blue
