Clouds & Bridges

We watched the clouds drift by
making out images as they shift
of castles and  moats
dragons snorting fire

We watch them form lions
and beasts of many kinds
hear the lion roar?

Bridges to...
a faraway tale

Long shadows cross
our reflections

A memory of lost yesterday
and forgotten tomorrow
we're lost in today
not another place
I'd rather be

We hear the angels sing
as the clouds float by
and when they darken
and storms appear
We will not fear

Clouds are bridges to span...
a fantasy land

We're lost in today...

The only place to be.
Fire snortin' dragons - I like that, I'm gonna have to look for one of those. (c:)
I love to look at clouds and see who's there in them.
This is really peaceful.
Thank You Dale

Remembering how I wanted to float on them as a child and racing to see who could find the most images as they morphed through the sky! After JFK's death, there was a chariot and horses in the clouds...

Reminds me of a song:

"I've looked at clouds
from both sides now,
from up and down
and still, somehow,
it's clouds illusions I recall ...
I really don't know clouds at all."

Still one of my favourite pasttimes
ever since I was a young boy.

Nice writing CJ.

Blessings,
Joseph

A soothing and inspiring reverie. Places the reader in a field of grass lazily looking up and dreaming the day away with no regrets whatsoever.
