Some of us are still searching for love
and our soul mate

actually I'm not searching anymore..now I know he is within me..thus even when I die I won't be doing it alone..see the difference?

Bittersweet understanding here, Dale. Penned with such sensitivity, grace... and with a sense of gratitude and contentment - a sense of oneness and harmony - with all that life has already bestowed. But yet that nagging little gap somewhere, the need to share when we don't even know WHAT it is we want to.. the need to be heard and understood without even breathing a word? Sharing just the sense of moment and being?! Can relate to every syllable of this comprehensive poem and appreciate it both on a human and spiritual level. Even when sorrounded by the crowd, by friends and family, we can still feel that aloneness. But having an awareness of the overarching presence of God means that both in life and death, I need never fear being alone. I personally enjoy "aloneness" but have never suffered loneliness... until that little concept of "soul mate" rears its head... Much to ponder here, Dale. A laid-bare and tender write, thank you. Well Dale. I don't know about you, but there were a lot of people in the hospital room when I was born. ROFL. Dying alone...now that is something else again.

sometimes, no matter how long we search or how far we go, our love still goes answered ... but even if it did, we'd still die alone ...
