Memorial Day


In memory of all those who have fallen,
for their bravery, they will not be forgotten.
It’s sad that they had to die
because of wars today, and in days gone by.
I’m sure they would rather have died of old age,
than die somewhere and end up
maybe in an unknown grave.
On this Memorial Day, I give them my thanks
for what they have done to keep us safe in the USA.
This day makes me wonder where we would be,
without their fights of victory.
I wish for peace, so no more have to fight.
So God, please bring into this world,
some healing love and peaceful light.
