I'm just too proud to Let you lie through This game I never wanted to start Kindness would be to Walk right through The door that brought you in So don't say those words I don't need to be another martyr You come bearing gifts You stole from someone else's lips This isn't what I Wanted to die by So put away your serrated words That deathly trio Never did me any good, oh... I won't sink my teeth into your heart So don't say those words I don't want anymore martyrs You come bearing gifts stolen from another woman's lips Baby, you're on your own I'd much rather be alone And if I should falter Kindness would be a loaded gun. April...girl...you make poetry out of mental risk...the doubts, the sudden psychological ambushes...you take so much further than hallmark words on paper...fables of an endangered soul that secures a visible means of support in psalms to calm the nerves...
