On Self-Worth and Judgement

should I become what I think they want me to be
should I smile just to see if the sun will burst from my face
and stand eternally so until the dew gathers on my lips
forever the stunning beacon of all that they wish to be?

shall I give them something to long for in the curve of my brow
shall I let the flowers planted in my words flourish and not flounder
or perhaps I should sing with a honeyed voice
of all things kind and beautiful, sweet just like a woman should be?

or maybe they should not be so afraid of my feelings
maybe they should look outside of their prisons and just feel something else for once
maybe they should see the beauty in that dark-haired little girl with the serious eyes
who doesn't necessarily want to play with dolls and kittens
maybe they should realize that seeing me for what I really am
won't endanger who they are
unless they allow it.

I think I shall just sit here for a few moments and let it all wash over me. Well-spun, dear one, well spun.

Well done, fella. Makes me wonder if "they" and "you" don't share the same prison in different cells, as all of these judgements and notions of self-worth are products of thought. Maybe TRASK is right and there is nothing outside of Mind. (Maybe we need to define "Mind" first.)

Very Powerful message! So very full of truth.."They" live in fear..
I fight this battle too..and in the end, always resolve to be "Me"..
A sad and lonely place at times..
but happier to not become lost in a shell.

What a powerful and excellent message. Everything in this rings of truth. Who you are should not instill fear in others and should not interfere with who they are. However, one should also never place limits on theirselves with so much talent that they cannot grow.

Getting Even by MORGAN ST. JAMES

Kimberly has gone from a well-paid female executive one minute to a desperate woman the next. Thinking her day can't possibly get any worse, she finds out how wrong she is when she goes home. The only way to set things straight is to get even.
