Should the lightening spread across the darkness of his eyes, I would still need him.
Should he suddenly realize that this love is a foolish girl's dream, I'd still hold him.
Should the world around him become my worst enemy, I'd still protect him.
There is no pull strong enough to keep me from his side.
There is no lie bold enough to tear apart this foundation of trust.
There is no societal boundary prudish enough to scare me into submission.
For as long as my lungs inhale joyously of the air he breathes,
for as long as his smile shines back at me in the pale kiss of moonlight
for as long as this incredible creation is mine to love, I will always love him.

April! Really! You need to give us an explanation for these magnificent poems. Oh wait...that's what makes them amazing, right? The fact that there is such mystery in the subject...good lord. As always, I'm astounded and inwardly dwarfed by your work. Excellent write.
