These first tentative steps
towards an end I can't foresee
lucky you, looking down on me
you know the ending
to this macabre story
if I'd only known the ending
to yours.
My life has just rewound
only to find a different beginning
the movie starts not as it did
twenty-one years ago
who did you think you were
to rewrite my happy little story
I was content with my silly discontents
I was happy to be miserable
now it's a dark place I cannot escape
bars made of bullets and shattered faces
who did you think you were?

april i have always felt so much at anything you write, mostly pain but you express yourself so well, it is only right that we share your pain. keep writing, your talent is exquisite
