OIL'S WELL, IS IT?

None could cause my blood pressure to rise,
More than this escalating oil price.
It's financial torture, almost cruel,
But I can't escape the need for fuel.
Each day my car, a helpless addict,
Without a drink would look pathetic
Must have this thing to make it run,
And now my wallet's the anemic one.
Consider it a form of blackmail,
This dictated price of oil for sale.
You can't protest, stop the talk.
You have to buy it or just walk.
A global type of strangle hold,
It leaves the nations in the cold.
They have the oil, we have the money;
Should we just walk or ride the horsey?
Cynthia your words are wise, the only thing we can do is park the car and only use it when we have no choice. Keep a list so when you have to go out you are making one trip that counts. We are paying approx.$5.00 a gallon here. My car is parked.
