incandescent lunar orb stays
put, refuses to sink, descend.

Sweet sustenance in sapphire sky,
delectable slice of heaven’s
goodness, thou, soul’s lustrous hope.

Yours no ghostly silhouette, but
tangible body, full and whole,
resurrected from hell’s dark gates.

Inexhaustible, thy ardent
radiance. Robed in pearly glow,
touch of gold dust falls to earth.

You draw all things to you. Morning
birds intone an invocation,
issue second invitation

and bid me come, enter fully
into rising day, take, eat, and
be comforted by their presence.
