just a simple one in appreciation of the early days' beauty.

Poem Artwork

Mother nature is sound asleep
no chirp, no buzz, no howl,
the mountain's slumber is still deep
awake is just an owl.

This winter’s night is long and cold
and life huddles tight together
until first sun rays will unfold
soft warmth on every feather.

From far away the north wind carries
light swirls of virgin snow
just a weightless dance of flurries,
eastern sky shines in soft glow.

Slowly daylight enters heaven
ev’ry morning’s so unique
life awakes in the tall aspen
and sun kissed lays the mountain peak.

Every morning is so unique as you say and I am just so glad I am alive in the moring. Sometimes I sleep in and don't enjoy the sunrise but I know it is alays there. The mountains are beautiful and I enjoy them when I go traveling. Nothing like loving nature and glad you could write about it so lovingly.

What a wonderful look out an open window at the beauty that only a true poet can see and capture for her readers. Well done Rebecca,

Rebecca,

Thank you for taking me back to the mountains...lived in Salt Lake City in 1980, surrounded by the Ouintas, Timpanogas, Wasatch and the Avenues...you bring their beauty vividly to mind. Thank you, this is beautiful.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
