Just when you think you have it all together, something happens that brings the sad reality of loss back into your life - I know. The 4th of July was probably my Daddy's favorite holiday - he loved the sound of mortars being shot off, and fireworks - he passed that love down to Karen and me, his daughters - this was our second Independence Day without him. :( Each time we see fireworks, we think of him - and we miss him. A beautiful, loving tribute to your Daddy, I bet he'd be proud to know his daughter loves and misses him very much.
Bernice your father was a lucky man to have you for a daughter and as a father and grandfather I can tell you without a single doubt in my mind he would be as proud of you today as he was when you were born. We cannot bring our parents bach but in our hearts and minds they never really leave, so now and then sing his song for him and blow him a kiss on a cloud...he is there.
