stately and proud head held erect majestic you were born here wild and protected owning the road knowing we will stop to gaze upon your beauty in my mind I’d dreamed of you so many times now magically you appear casual, calm and collected in oneness we peer through the glass in separate worlds of existence yet here…we share this road so close, I want to reach out and lay my cheek upon your neck and run my hands along your legs breathe of your musk and follow where you are going perhaps to the harem I saw further back where you’d bugle intent to mate perhaps to the meadow where grass shoots appeared to hearty yourself for winter perhaps you just wanted to roam curious to peer through the glass in oneness with the passengers as they passed
What a beautiful write my friend, and isn't it wonderful when we connect with nature in such a glorious way. Beautiful write and a beautiful picture, magnificant creature. We have become blessed with many elk in our area, a couple of years ago I walked out to the drive to get in my car to go to work and a big buck elk stood in the center of my garden, he was eating and having a feast. I stopped and took a picture of him through the drivers side window, it was as if he stopped eating long enough for me to capture him on film and back to eating my tomatoes he was happy as a lamb. Great write again, I enjoyed this, I love all God's creatures, even if they do eat my tomatoes and corn.
Blessings,

A beautiful write Debby
I awe at some large birds (sand cranes) that visit me
every so often, as they search for supplimental scraps
so when there's no one around,
I feed them wet bread, they seem to love it
and now when they come around they sing to me a song
to attract my attention, so I pay them for their performance
Wet bread.
thanks for sharing
peace be with you
