photo Summerland, Calif

Poem Artwork

a trail of sand
along a cliff
where time no longer
dares exist
no watches found
or ticking clocks
just endless skies
and forever gaze

hug the air
and kiss the sun
take a ride upon
this bright blue star
spiraling through
its galaxy

a place to think
or be unthought
of matters most
or matters not

time stands still
while walking here
or really walking anywhere
unity with the infinite
and nature as the environment

This one is so close to my spirit that I could almost feel you reading it to me. The ocean and the sand and the waves and the breeze always are a magical elixer to escape the pain of reality.

Wonderful, Debby, walking amidst the glories of nature truly is a marvelous way to stop time for awhile.

Walking, alone, letting the sand to caress between the toes and the arriving waves to whisper in ones ears...
Walking on the beach in not the same as walking.

Summerland ... I remember that being just south of Santa Barbara. I lived there in my twenties. A delightful and beautiful geography. You have captured the essence well Debby.
