i saw him

I saw him, with majestic wing over the yard and into the palms a bird of grace, a bird of power in my own backyard a peregrine falcon I watched as he, floated in without the need, to flex his wing he turned his head and looked at me eye to eye acknowledgement he rustled the palms as he landed there out of sight, yet a presence drew he took off again as if he knew he'd delighted me with his show I'm always awed and humbled by the simple moments in the life reaching up to touch a wing as the world goes spinning by
