Went grocery shopping on Saturday morn
Same old routine, same old thing
I was getting a little tired of this
so was a bit forlorn.
I came home, put the things on the table.
Had some heavy things, carried as much as I was able.
I looked in the ‘frig, darn, no cold pop. I was
so thirsty, but I didn’t want it hot.
I had just bought a twelve-pack when I was in
the store, put it in my pantry, grabbed some
cans to put in the frig, didn’t have enough,
so went back for more.
I thought I was Hercules and could carry every one
That’s when the loud noise hit, an exploding atom bomb
I looked down at the floor, the can was spinning around,
When it fell, the soda broke, and made an awful sound.
I went to pick it up, but the thing just sprayed on me.
Than my curious cat just had to come and see. The can
sprayed his shiny fur; he yelped and let it be.
The thing finally stopped, the soda was all gone; I took
it outside and threw the offensive thing away. I think that
you’ll agree; it wasn’t a great day. I never knew a soda
had so much wrath, I looked at what it had done, a soggy cat,
a wet floor and as for me, I needed a bath.
The moral of this story is drinking sodas are fine
But carry them very carefully if you want to stay alive!
