A paperless office is what we need
Or that’s what the big shots important memo decrees.
Well, that’s not so bad, the top of my desk I’ll finally see.

Sounds like a good thing, no clutter, no paper anywhere,
But this doesn’t always work so great, so people beware!

For when the computer goes down from all its hard work
It says, no more, I’ve had enough!  When the pictures
and words disappear from our trusty screen; whatever
will be do, we’re at its mercy you see.

When it says no, I’ll work no more, and just sits there
useless sitting on the floor, where are we then.   Used
to be when the computer went down, get the paper copy we
cried out loud.    But where is the paper copy now?

When all of our data has gone from our lives, no more
computer or paper to fight.   There’s only one thing we
have left to do.  Unplug the thing, go home and retire!
