I see them when I go fishing, but never this close. The last time I went out on the river, there were two babies flying the length and arguing. Always wonderful to see. Must have been thrilling for you. Got your heart pumping I bet. Hugs,

those ancient hunters, so awkward appearing in their stance and walk -- so skillful in the hunt -- so aerobatic in flight -- remnants of pterodactyls for certain -- thanks for sharing this photo and your wonderful thoughts Vickie -- there are several great gray herons in the area where I live -- great blue herons on the other hand, are still very rarely observed -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael

Ooooh, love this short, quaint, blessed "rival" poem, YOU found a friend...Where were you, I saw ONE yesterday but more whitish, (while out fishing before night fishing for Catfish Vic) Shit, wavelengths strong or what, I love this PICT. mine was from a distance, YOU are good with that camera Sweetie!
YOU learned FAST!

READ "TED Andrews" - Animal Speak - YOUR spirit won't be the same, since you are more into nature picture taking, as I am too, and just picture taking, I love it, the creative side, needs it dear! YOU will read so much "WHY" these certain animals/spirits/ are coming into your direction and on that day//etc...
