Mist covered the fields like whip cream
Smothering homemade strawberry pie,
As rolling clouds beckoned noisily
Creating flashes of lightning to the eye.
A lazily winding river travelled north
Through bending stalks of ripe corn,
As plump apples dangled daintily
Welcoming the first of winter’s scorn.
Delicate mums bloomed faces open
To the chilly bite of the blowing breeze,
As summer hostas yellow and fold
Dying quickly in the blasts that freeze.
Mist covered the fields like whip cream
And things wither into a seasonal dream.

Thank you for posting! The blogs looks very interesting. I had started blog with Tripod, but just for a few hours there, and then I decided to take it down. Like poetry, I often put my own feelings and my own perception about people and things in there.
Ha, if I really write my blog everyday, that would be a killer blog. That is why I was hesitant about it. I took the post down from tripod where I had it up for an hour or two. Didn't want to offend anyone. Heeeheee!
