Voices speak clearly
Kill yourself today they say
Such a wasted life...

I hear voices everyday
urging me, begging at times
to kill myself, leave this world
behind me even though I do not hate
myself or my life. Die, Die, Die they say
The doctors whisper, the medications talk
but the voices scream above it all.
Die they say, Die, Die today
I hear voices every night freely
giving their advice to kill
myself, with pills or a blade
take no thought of
hurting others I hear
selfish voices continuously.
At times these voices sound like me
at times they seem a choir from hell
I have responded to these voices
more times than I care to admit yet
I remain to hear and to try again.
I hear voices.

Oh Lori or Lori! End this despair. There is anohter voice inside of you and it is saying this to the Great One:

"Please Watch Over Me"

Oh Lord please take my hand
make me strong, help me stand
to face all of my enemies.

Oh I know right from wrong
but the days are so long
I need you to watch over me.

Chorus .....

Yes I can't go on - in this world all alone
- hurting the way I do,
For I've fallen so low - with nowhere to go
and I need you to watch over me.

So please watch over me
when I stumble and fall,
Watch over me
when I'm facing a wall,
Watch over me
when I must stand tall,
Watch over me
when the devil calls.
Watch over me
and set me free
from doubt and fear
when my end is near.

Tag .....

Yes please please please
always watch over me
Please watch over me
watch over me
watch over me
watch over me
and set me free.

AND HE WILL SET YOU FREE FROM THE GREATEST
DARKNESS YOU MAY FACE. All the comments made by others say, "We have been in that dark place before. But we held on cause we knew there ws light at the endo of our dark tunnel. The light is there but you must approach it one step at ad time and one day at a time until your journeys end as we all must. The deep darkness always gets better.
You will come out into the light. Bill
P.S. i HOPE THIS POEM CAN HELP YOU AND ALSO SHOW YOU A PLACE WHERE THE LIGHT IS BRIGHTER FOR OUR POETRY. More hugs to you dear.

It is true, we have all experienced the dark side of ourselves. The destructive side
that whispers to us when we aren't strong enough to ignore them...the murmers
in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep. However, I know, just
like all of us out there who have heard these 'voices', are strong enough to
fight these battles....for to fight is to eventually win the war. Bright Blessings to you.

Voices have no hold over the blessed souls of God. The voices that continues to destroy the pure at heart. Let not satin influence the beauty of a blessed soul. I know his game he has visited me more than once. I talk to God an rebuke his calls. Continue to rebuke him when he calls, He sits in dark corners to catch you off guard. My solution to this laugh at him when he calls, Creations is his targets when he get borded. We will always have the battle of his call, because of the pure at heart. Its only an illusion which seems so real. I have herd the voices many times. He almost got me when I was sad and down. I talk to the master of us all. God has given me strength to over come. You are the winner you are a child of God. Panic is his weapon fear is his call, destruction of a pure an kind soul. Rise my sister satin has no hold.

We must have had the same voices today Lori...poetry with same subject matter anyway...you wouldn't believe what I had to go through to defeat them. But, they can be defeated and you can do it too. It does take quite a bit of effort and you must be very strong. There are no quick fixes. Your writing is even more important now.

Lori, I wish I could stop your voices. I keep myself busy and don't pay my voices any attention, but long ago I use to listen to my voices. The voices always seem to speak the same, what have you got to live for Ron? I'm happy I have many purposes to live, and I hope you find all of your purposes Lori dear.

You always write with such passion, I can't tell sometimes if it's legit. This is really a potent piece. I remember only one time that I succumbed to the dark voices and I was drunk at the tiem. Hate to admit it but' that's the truth. I was very lucky I had good friends that saved me from myself. I was young at the time. I must say that liquor is such a downer, just the opposite of what people believe it is. It will give you false courage to listen to those voices. Don't drink when your in this mood Lori, please, you are worth so much more than they are.

PB is right about the "dark side"...
And the strength of those voices depends on
what other voices we allow into our mind and
heart. Jay is also right...it's up to you
to choose which voices you will listen to.
We all choose, as a matter of fact...
Now choose to listen to these voices here--
they've given you wise advice...

Lori.......

You have had such a hell of a fight to fight in one so young hun. Hold on Lori, one day those voices will realize they have lost and will leave you in peace.
