Here is a quote from UN Resolution 1441 that says it all:

"Recognizing the threat Iraq's noncompliance with Council resolutions and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and long-range missiles poses to international peace and security,"

I encourage anyone who has not read the resolution to do so and then judge for themselves.

They are not the cause of the war,
It was Saddam's failure to abide
By UN Resolution 1441.

Why, why did he not comply
If he had nothing to hide?
Only he could decide.
Was it pride? Was it malice?
Did he not want to leave his palaces?

Screw WMDs.
Everyone thought he had them.
From President Clinton to candidate Kerry,
Emphasized by Saddam's non-compliance
With the end of the Gulf War treaty.

Why, why did he not comply
If he had nothing to hide?
Always in lies would he defy
The UN post-war sanctions
That kept out future invasions?

Screw WMDs.
They are not the point.
It is that Saddam did not abide
By the agreement his government signed.

Why does the media keep propagating
This shit about the President and WMDs?
Saddam Hussein defied the UN,
Killed innocent civilians,
And led the world to believe
He was up to no good
By not complying with the twelve-year-old terms
Of his government's defeat.

How long is too long?
How much defiance does it take?
How much violation of international law
Must one person dictate
Before justice is served?

Twelve years sounds like an awful long time
And we have no cause to serve a warrant for his arrest
But he can keep on killing and violating
As long as he lives.
So what if he pays terrorists to kill Jews--
So what if he kills thousands of Kurds,
He's not killing us.
And, all the media cares about
Is wether or not he had WMDs.
Screw the media with their WMDs--
Maybe then they'd care.
