This poem was inspired while I was taking a leisurely walking early one summer evening.

This poem is part of the Anthology "Sunshine and Seashells" by Eber and Wein Publishers.

                              ACORNS AND THE SQUIRREL

I was taking a leisurely walk

Along the street in my neighborhood

When I walked by an Oak Tree

I heard the rustling of branches

And acorns falling to the grounnd

I paused and looked up the tree

                           To see the rustling climbing

All the way up the tall Oak Tree

                            Then I spotted Mr Squirrel

Just jumping from branch to branch

And all the way to the very top

Pausing for a moment, the squirrel

Then proceded back down the tree

Acorns still crescending toward the ground
