Surf’s up along the Wedge, and the crowds gather
Some in amazement, some with jealous eyes,
And a serious few dive right in and swim out
To wait.
Crashing. bashing, mashing, power
Roars with each broken crest, pounding the shore,
Only the lucky and the experienced stay the course,
And repeat.
Until the swells pass or their luck runs out.

We don't get those kinds of waves here in Florida, at least not near me, unless, there's a hurricane a brewin'.
Needless to say, we prefer the lesser ones.
Nicely done Eileen, thanks Dick
