In 1988 I was picking fruit on my travels. This was written in one of those nights.

As I sit and watch the sun rise

Through a clump of Norfolk pines

And listen to the birds sing

I think of past good times

As I sit and wait for the billy

To blow it's head of steam

I can't help but wonder

When I will wake from my wonderful dream

Sitting drinking my coffee

I see the world begin to stir

And nothing escapes my senses

My mind drifts back to her

She was a true out door woman

A great companion indeed

We shared the best experiences

Iam sorry she had to leave

Just gazing into the distance

The dew shined on the trees

And everywhere I looked

My mind was put to ease.
