It Says I’m Dead and Buried!
I stumbled upon a tombstone that gave me such a chill.
For it had my name on it in the cemetery on the hill.
It Even had my picture displayed with such devoted care.
Is this really me that’s dead, and am I really lying there?
I know I had some health problems and was sick in ‘99.
But I thought I got better ‘cause now I’m doin’ just fine.
Did they bury me alive, is that what they did to me?
If they did, I’ll haunt them throughout eternity.
It says I’m dead and buried even though I’m standing here.
What a shock to see this, I feel I should at least shed a tear.
This is what the tombstone says, so it must be true .
But I’m going to try to fake living by bluffing my way through.
Now you may think this is very funny like some kind of joke,
But how would you feel, if you didn’t know you croaked?

At one time perhaps you thought you were going to die, thus the tombstone, maybe in a dream. Whatever it's about, the poem is still humourous, and gives us all a good laugh.
