Oceans Are Wet
Ocean waves appear quite small When you are standing on land Your feet on good old terra firma. But when you are on a boat Trying hard to stay afloat The waves look twice as big as Burma. The water that looks so blue So nice and oh so pretty In travel advertising brochures. Is really nasty and wet And not for a major bet Would I venture from these sandy shores. Raymond Morrow

When on cruise with hubby Tom in 1998, we got up at sunrise, and went out on deck and watched those ocean waves. Was a thrilling experience and this write brought it all back to me, the experience of a lifetime which I will not have again, I'm sure of that.

Ha, ha! "Big as Burma" - my Daddy can testify to that, having gone through a typhoon on a troop ship - and I can, too, had 30 foot swells on my cruise *burrrrrrrp* Still and all, I love the ocean. :) Well done, Raymond!
