You reach out to me with your cold steel eyes but I can’t argue with the things you’ve done , with your hands on a gun my little one ..
Rat Tat-Tat-Tat .
The fighting’s been long and the day it is gone and you don’t know what tomorrow will bring , it will al be OK or so they say … Rat Tat-Tat-Tat
A gentle love’s been calling , but your hearts been beaten black and blue ,what can I do . Rat-Tat-Tat- Tat
Sometimes a cloud blocks out the sun in the sky , don’t you be like a cloud passing by ..Rat Tat-Tat-Tat
When war turns you cold and there’s no getting through ,reach out to me reach out to me with your cold steel eyes .
Rat –Tat-Tat-Tat .
You’re a soldier in the world and you’re spinning in a swirl with a war .
you can’t change . Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat
When your feet are sticking in the mud and you’re bathed in blood , don’t panic I’ll be there . Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat .
When the talk is done and the fight is won and you’re thinking what to say , let it go ..Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat .
The Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat of war, a horrible sound.
Well penned and sad picture of what war brings.

"let it go"......
The use of the gun sound makes this work extremely strong and alive.
Your vereses capture the heart and mind of one who is at war, and, then, there is the solace of the one who speaks.
